Anyone can Lead: Your Actions make an Impact

The Greenheart Global Leaders Conference is NEXT WEEK!  As the Greenheart community prepares for a week of cultural understanding, professional development, and the exchange of transformative ideas we want to keep our focus on the goal of GGLC 2016: cultivating global leadership in our own community and beyond.

This year’s conference centers around three main components: environmental responsibility, international mission-drive business, and social justice.  Over the course of the week, Greenhearts will come together to discuss issues facing the global community and collaborate on ways to best address them.  The conference will be a unique blend of site visits, discussion, and volunteering at various places in the Washington, D.C. area.

This conference is all about unlocking the potential of Greenheart participants and enabling individuals who have the commonality of being Greenheart community members to work together in ways they may not have been able to otherwise.  Attendees are coming from all corners of the globe, and we can’t wait to see how we are able to work collaboratively for positive change.  While this conference is a way to connect, it is also a tool for individual and group development.  Everyone has the power to become a global leader, and the Greenheart Global Leaders conference is a way to help our community realize its strength in unity.

No one is too young, too old, too big or too small to be a global leader.  Leadership can be realized in a number of ways; perhaps it appears in running the ultimate marathon or advocating for those whose voices are less often heard.  Maybe its spreading awareness about an issue that is close to your heart, or maybe it’s hosting an exchange student or participating in a community clean up.  Whatever way you decide to lead, your actions make an impact.  Have you started enacting global leadership in your life?  Share your story with us!
