What we’re looking for:
Greenheart Exchange is seeking a Sales Director for the Work & Travel Department (BridgeUSA Summer Work Travel program). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a sales team while successfully and consistently meeting sales goals. The Sales Director will supervise a team of recruiters who have their own sales goals, while ensuring that Greenheart continues to be known and respected in the industry, especially among the host organizations that hire Summer Work Travel participants. The Sales Director will report to the Senior Program Director and work closely with the Placement Director, in cooperation with various Greenheart departments, especially Marketing & Communications and Compliance. We are seeking someone that has excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, time management abilities, and sales experience. This person should be motivated by program goals, while staying within the compliance perimeter and regulatory standards. In a fast-paced working environment, the ideal candidate will have the ability to oversee multiple projects and meet deadlines that are essential in this role. The ability to see multiple perspectives and lead with empathy is crucial to the role.

The Account Management Department oversees program support for hosts of Department of State BridgeUSA programs (inbound) and Greenheart Travel (outbound). Programs supported may include Work & Travel, Career Advancement Program, Teach USA, J-1 High School, F-1, and Short-Term Programs. Specifically, the Teach USA School Relations Manager will be responsible for selling to new and existing host schools, supporting the review and vetting of accounts, facilitate the participant placement process in coordination with partners, hosts, and staff. Tasks vary by department and area of focus. The School Relations manager is expected to provide quality services, communication, and programming to all stakeholders with whom they engage.

They should have a proven-track record of high-level sales success, excellent customer service skills and time management abilities, and be tech-savy. This person should be comfortable working hard, be self-directed and be at ease communicating with many different stakeholders. They should also be motivated by program goals, while staying within the compliance perimeter and exceeding regulatory standards. Operating in a fast-paced working environment, we are seeking a candidate that has the ability to successfully oversee multiple projects, meet deadlines while bringing a solution-focused approach to the work. Essential to this role is the ability to lead with empathy as we are looking for someone that can relate to people of all backgrounds and beliefs. Experience working in schools or knowledge of the educational system in the U.S. a plus!

Greenheart International is a non-profit visa sponsor that connects people and planet through environmentalism, fair trade, social transformation and cross-cultural understanding. We are working to expand Greenheart’s offering of the Department of State’s BridgeUSA Intern and Trainee programs, which are cultural exchange programs using the J-1 non-immigrant visa. Since its inception in 1961, the program has served as a valuable and important diplomatic tool of U.S. foreign policy. Its mission – to increase mutual understanding between Americans and people of other countries – remain vital to U.S. national security and building people-to-people connections around the world. The Regional Manager position is a crucial leadership position within the High School Programs department, by supervising a team of 10-20 Local Coordinators, and 50+ exchange students every year.
While the focus on this part-time role is on building teams and producing placements through the team members, this position is unique in that allows the Regional Manager to maintain their involvement as a Local Coordinator after hours and continue placing students personally as well.
