Today, there are countless individuals awakening to higher consciousness, opening to greater love, and striving to create a more peaceful human existence on this planet. In addition, there are numerous ways that communities are achieving and expressing this evolution of consciousness. Many diverse groups are having a positive impact in the world, but often there is not much collaboration between them. Greenheart Transforms is grateful to be playing a part in the globe’s current shift by building bridges among conscious organizations and communities.
Two of the many communities that share a vision of a sustainable and just global society are the transformational festival scene and the conscious nonprofit organization sector. A local expression of the transformational festival community is Sukhava Bodhe Yoga and Music Festival, a four-day gathering bearing a name that means “Joyful Awakening” and features yoga classes, live music, wisdom talks, guided meditations, gardening and beekeeping workshops, art installations, fire spinning, drumming, and more. This community strives to contribute to a more peaceful world by creating sacred space for individuals to retreat into nature with many different activities and experiences that foster first-hand realizations of love and unity. As for the conscious nonprofit community, Greenheart exemplifies how an organization can have a positive impact on society through programs that allow thousands of individuals to gain global leadership skills and to ignite change throughout the world. In addition, Greenheart Transforms and Global Purpose Movement are creating a network of many different conscious organizations committed to collaborating on projects and therefore magnifying their positive impact on the planet.
While at first glance it may not seem like barefoot yoga enthusiasts, fire-spinners with dreadlocks, and Sanskrit-chanting musicians would have much in common with mindful businessmen, fair-trade activists, and global leaders, upon closer examination, these two communities share the common goal of co-creating a peaceful world that works for everyone – a world characterized by abundance, joy, and love. Like streams feeding into the same river, they are both working towards this shared vision in their own unique ways.
Each of these two communities has both gifts to share and challenges to overcome. In the transformational festival community, we have felt an immense sense of unity, harmony, and sacredness, experienced deep connections with others, and witnessed people embodying sustainable lifestyles in harmony with nature. However, we have also seen this magical energy fade when the festival comes to an end and people return to their daily routine longing for a way to share this ineffable sense of unity with the world in a tangible way. In the conscious nonprofit sector, we have observed organizations creating concrete change by implementing programs that educate, connect, and empower individuals to transform institutions and create more justice and peace. On the other hand, many individuals in this community are lacking the embodiment of a healthy and sustainable lifestyle and a deep and continual connection to unity consciousness. Given the complementary nature of these strengths and challenges, these two communities have much to offer each other in order to collectively move closer to their shared goal.
Fortunately, there are initiatives happening right now that are bringing diverse groups together to share gifts and insights to support the emergence of new levels of synergy. One such initiative is called Synergy Forum, a three-part process that guides individuals to recognize their inherent unity, allows participants to discover and deepen their unique purpose, and weaves the threads of creativity that emerge into synergy for the benefit of the whole.
This Labor Day weekend, Greenheart Transforms and Global Purpose Movement are teaming up with Synergy Forum at this year’s Sukhava Bodhe Yoga and Music Festival to build a bridge between the essence of the transformational festival community and that of the conscious nonprofit community. At Sukhava Bodhe, the Greenheart Transforms team will be facilitating an hour-long Synergy Forum that will allow participants to integrate their profound festival experiences into collaborative projects to bring that sense of love and unity back to their communities at home in a tangible way. In addition, Greenheart is hosting a discussion panel that will explore how members of the yoga and meditation community can maximize their positive influence on the evolution of culture and society to support a global awakening. With countless different communities singing the same song of awakening with their own unique voices, harmony is spreading throughout the world. Every individual and community plays an important role in our current shift and every unique perspective is not only useful, but necessary, for the transformation we are undergoing as a planet. The Greenheart Transforms team is grateful and honored to collaborate with Synergy Forum and hold space for two beautiful communities to synergize and harmonize this Labor Day weekend at Sukhava Bodhe. As more and more communities continue to come together consciously in recognition of their unity and gifts, a reality of peace and sustainability will begin to shine brighter and brighter each day.
