July 2023 Greenheart Impact Grant Winner Thank You Letters

Dear Donors,

I am deeply thankful for your invaluable support of the “Improving Community Well-being in
Ghana” project. This initiative is dedicated to enhancing the overall well-being of our
community by promoting health, wellness, and environmental sustainability through
improved access to medical services and comprehensive waste management plans.

My journey toward community service and the transformative power of education began
during my participation in the summer work and travel program. This experience instilled in
me a profound appreciation for the impact of volunteerism and the possibilities it offers to
individuals and communities. It was during my exchange year in the United States that I
realized the significance of service to a higher purpose.

Your unwavering belief in our mission empowered us to provide essential medical care and
support to underserved members of our community. Your contributions translated directly
into improved health and well-being for those most in need. Out of the 79 participants, 31
individuals received immediate assistance, thanks to your support.

Your kindness and dedication to making a difference have not only improved the lives of
individuals within our community but have also sown the seeds of positive change. Your
support has ignited a cycle of empowerment, learning, and community service that will
continue to flourish, benefiting many.

Your generous spirit and commitment to creating a better world have touched the lives of
many, and for this, we are sincerely grateful. Your support extends beyond financial
contributions; it signifies a shared vision for a brighter, healthier, and more equitable future.
We recognize that your support is driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact, and
we want you to know that it is creating a profound difference. Your ongoing support offers
hope, knowledge, and opportunity to those in need, and we are thankful for your
partnership in this endeavor.

Once again, thank you for your unwavering support. We eagerly anticipate sharing our
continued progress and achievements with you in the future.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Bill Clinton Wesley Ampah

Dear Greenheart Global Impact Grant Donors,

We made it happen! When I say “we,” I’m not referring to just myself and my project executives; I mean all of us together. Your generosity has made this environmental project a reality, and we are profoundly grateful for your support. Thanks to you, we successfully engaged 51 students and 4 teachers in expanding Greenheart’s mission by conducting a mangrove growing activity on Samal Islands, Davao Del Norte, Philippines, where we planted 500 mangroves!

Our day began at 4:30 am as we needed an early start to catch the ferry ride to the island. Despite the gloomy weather, we were fortunate that it didn’t rain. Upon our arrival, the island locals were curious about Greenheart, noticing our volunteer shirts. As a Greenheart alumni, I took the opportunity to share information about my placement organization in the USA.

At the site, I delivered opening remarks to the volunteers, sharing my Greenheart experience and expressing gratitude for being a Global Impact Grant Awardee. Kath Ranay, a representative from the City Environmental and Natural Resources, provided a detailed orientation on the importance of mangroves to the ecosystem and how our volunteerism contributes to the planet. We then proceeded to the planting site.

Not everyone had experienced a mangrove growing activity before, so it was a proud moment to provide them with that opportunity. Laughter and stories filled the air, with inspirational actions unfolding. Some expressed interest in volunteering again, particularly for environmental actions and advocacy.

Ms. Kath Ranay expressed enthusiasm for our partnership, hoping for future environmental efforts on their island. She suggested seagrass planting or propagating an endangered species endemic to the Philippines, the “Saging-saging.” I am hopeful and optimistic that we can realize these ideas in the future, with your continued support.

Thank you so much! We cannot express enough how grateful we are for your cause and generosity. Thank you for bringing us closer to connecting people and the planet, making the world and environment safer and more inclusive. Until next time!

In unity towards global goals,
