Participants and Alumni from 21 different countries meet in Washington, D.C. for a full week of leadership development, congressional visits, community-focused organizations, community service, and much more.
The Greenheart Global Leaders Conference members will all meet at Gallaudet University. The university was originally founded in 1864 to support deaf and blind children in grammar school. Now, it is a private federally charted university for deaf and hearing-impaired college students. It is no accident that Greenheart decided to host our international leadership conference at Gallaudet. This university has such a rich history of passionate changemakers that our participants will get to learn about on our first conference day. Check out the University information here!
Our 40 leaders will be split into three different tracks to help support everyone’s passions for community change. Track 1 is learning how to support and advocate for International Mission Driven Businesses, track 2 is developing the understanding and need for Social Justice in communities, and track 3 helps participants discuss and learn about actionable ways to support Environmental Sustainability. Please see our wonderful Greenheart staffers leading these tracks:
Bianca and Kerri are from the United States, and they will be leading participants from Pakistan, Greece, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tajikistan, Tanzania, and Kyrgyzstan.
Renee and Jennifer are from the United States, and they will be leading participants from Vietnam, Cameroon, Greece, Algeria, Tanzania, Tunisia, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Morocco.
Les and Marcus are from the United States, and they will be leading participants from Papua New Guinea, Ghana, Ukraine, Zimbabwe, Egypt, Georgia, the United States, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Greece, Uzbekistan, and Tanzania.
The hope of this year’s conference is to encourage participants to learn from each other, learn from the Greenheart staff, teach others, and continue on their path of community growth, engagement, and leave with an understanding of cultural differences and the power of many thoughts and ideas.
Stay tuned for our GGLC 2025 conference updates and photos!
