I have met so many interesting people during my summer language camp in Spain, so I thought I should introduce you to some of the “faces” of Salamanca.
Meet Maricha!
Maricha is one of the teachers in Salamanca. She has been my teacher for three weeks. She is a great teacher, is very patient and loves to help others. Maricha is from southern Spain, and has been teaching at the school for 8 years. She is very nice and I have had a lot of fun with her!
Meet Carlos!
Carlos is a barrista which means he is a bartender, and he is co-owner at the cafe that is just below my house. My roommate and I go to the cafe sometimes for food and drinks and when we need wifi. He was born in Salamanca and has lived here all his life. He has worked at the cafe for 11 years and has been co-owner for 3 years. He is 34 and happily married with a pregnant wife. He likes to play soccer and take his wife on excursions to the cities surrounding Salamanca.
In my next post I will introduce you to my host mom Genoveva!
