Derby High School’s 2024 graduation ceremonies had a little bit more of a global flair than usual, as 11 foreign exchange students walked the stage with their new DHS classmates on May 19.
Typically, DHS is allotted five foreign exchange students in a given year, but the number of Panthers from around the globe doubled for 2023-2024. As those exchange students will go back to continue their high school education in their home countries, they received a certificate of completion at graduation (instead of a diploma), but the experience made a mark nonetheless.
